General Terms and Conditions of Mareatour d.o.o.

TRAVEL PACKAGE CONTENT

Mareatour d.o.o., listed as the travel organizer, guarantees the execution of travel packages as described in the program. Changes may occur only in exceptional circumstances such as war, strikes, natural disasters, or government interventions. Optional excursions, entrance fees, or additional payments on-site are not included in the price unless explicitly stated.

PRICES, BOOKINGS, AND PAYMENTS

Prices are subject to changes based on currency fluctuations or transport costs, in accordance with EU travel regulations. Prices may increase up to 10% without requiring customer consent. For higher increases, travelers can cancel without penalty.

  • Booking confirmation requires a 30% deposit; the balance is due 15 days before departure.
  • All prices are based on double occupancy unless stated otherwise.

For online and phone reservations, agreements are binding upon payment confirmation, and customers automatically accept Mareatour’s terms and conditions.

RESERVATIONS ON REQUEST

When immediate confirmation is unavailable, a provisional booking is placed. If confirmed within 7 days, the agreement becomes binding. Should a customer cancel at this stage, cancellation charges apply according to the cancellation policy. If the reservation cannot be confirmed, a refund minus administrative costs (€16) will be issued.

CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM

The organizer reserves the right to modify the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. Any alternative accommodation or services provided will be of equal or higher quality.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Should a traveler cancel, the following cancellation fees apply:

  • 45+ days before departure: 10% of package price,
  • 44-35 days: 50%,
  • 34-9 days: 80%,
  • 8-1 day before departure: 100%.

For packages that include flight tickets, additional airline cancellation fees may apply.

TRAVEL INSURANCE AND CANCELLATION COVERAGE

Travelers are encouraged to purchase cancellation insurance during booking. This covers cancellations due to illness, family emergencies, or military summons, provided valid documentation is presented.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

Travelers are responsible for:

  • Ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and travel documents.
  • Complying with customs and health regulations.

Failure to meet these requirements that disrupts travel will be at the traveler’s expense.

LUGGAGE POLICY

Travelers are entitled to bring standard baggage:

  • Charter flights: 15 kg per passenger.
  • Scheduled flights: 20 kg per passenger.

Special equipment (e.g., bicycles) must be pre-registered and may incur additional fees.

COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Please report any complaints immediately on-site. If unresolved, travelers must submit a formal written complaint within 8 days of return to:

DATA PROTECTION

Mareatour processes and protects personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Customer data will never be shared with third parties outside the service agreement.

FINAL PROVISIONS

Any disputes related to these terms will fall under the jurisdiction of the Court in Portorož, Slovenia.
